Guide 2 Feng Shui   >   Clocks

Create Rhythm to Your Life and Living Space Using Clocks

Clocks are excellent for adding rhythm to a space, and you can tune into this, making it easier to find your own rhythm. Clocks bring in more yang chi and are associated with metal chi in the five elements.

Place them in the west or northwest segments of your home to strengthen the metal chi there, or in the north part of your house to support the northern water chi.

If you fill a room with pendulum clocks, they will all swing together after a while. Any rhythmic cycle encourages other cycles with a similar rhythm to synchronize. For example, women living together often find that their menstrual cycles harmonize.

The rhythmic motion of a pendulum and its ticking sound will fill your home with a rhythm that you can tune in to. You are made up of rhythms (heartbeat, breathing) so the rhythms of life make a big difference to the way you feel.
